Randy “DJ Skinny Guy” Bermudez started off as a roadie for Chilltown Productions on Maui between the years 1990-1991. Soon enough, an opportunity to learn the DJ art of mixing arose, which he eagerly accepted. Quickly progressing, he also learned how to read crowds and cater the music towards people to keep the party going. In the Fall of ’91 he was hired by another mobile DJ/nightclub company, Stylus Point. By the mid ’90’s, he helped in forming the locally known mobile DJ company, D-Vyne Sounds. Finally in 2000, in order to follow his own ideals of raising the standards of mobile entertainment and outstanding customer service, he founded Ace Beats.
Over the years, DJ Skinny Guy has played in nearly all venues and nightclubs on the island of Maui. He was also on KPMW 105.5 fm for 13 years with music and mixshow duties while the format was still Top40/Dance. DJ Skinny Guy has also played on KDLX 94.3 as one of the mixers for their Friday Night House Party mixshow from 10pm to 1am.
Known by the local party people and respected by his peers, DJ Skinny Guy has the knowledge and years of experience needed to help make your event a successful one.
In his spare time, he enjoys watching action movies, geeking out online and over new technology, and being a father.
And yes, he’s really skinny.
